I was born breech during a freak blizzard. In order to save my mother and I, the doctor broke my arm when he yanked me out. That was the start of it all.
I grew up during the silver age of Hammer horror films, Godzilla and Saturday afternoons of the classic horror films, like "The Thing", "Them", "Creature from the Black Lagoon", "The Wolfman", and the list goes on. As I became a teen and into young adulthood, I was mesmerized by "Trilogy of Terror", "Don't be Afraid of the Dark", "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" and the one movie that changed my life forever..."Dawn of the Dead".
The idea that people were coming back from the dead and eating other people and/or infecting them was both terrifying and fascinating to me. It's the perfect ironic apocalypse. We finally consume so much that we have only ourselves left to consume. I've been drawing and painting them ever since.
I've been an artist for over 20 years, specializing in horror and fantasy illustration and I tattoo part time. I'm also lactose intolerant, but like to live dangerously with ice cream.
